A tour among the most authentic Sicily where literature, art and culinary traditions come together in a time travel experience through the streets of Racalmuto, birthplace of one of the most significant figures of the Italian and European twentieth century literature, Leonardo Sciascia. 

You will meet your local guide in front of local pastry shop located in the town square where you will taste the famous “Tarallo” Racalmutese, typical cookie made with sugar and lemon, unique in all Sicily. Here the cultural itinerary starts; by walking through the narrow streets of the town center you will visit the main tourist attractions of the place, the theatre Regina Margherita, the Sanctuary of Maria Santissima del Monte and the House-Museum of Leonardo Sciascia; you will arrive at the main street of Racalmuto where a bronze statue dedicated to the poet is located. Here a delicious show cooking follows: the “Cubaita” one, a nougat with a unique taste and flavour typical of Sicilian pastry. At the end of the tour, you will enjoy a local lunch in a cosy trattoria in the old town, eating seasonal food and sipping homemade wine.
